Brilliant, rose-petal pink in color with purple nuances. The nose is delicate with scents of red berries, citrus and spicy white blossoms. Soft and delectable on the palate with floral notes and flavors of white fruit. Boasts remarkable balance and a fresh finish.

Jean- Charles Boisset’s team blends this wine from cinsault, grenache and syrah sourced from vineyards near Montagne St-Victoire. It’s a smooth rosé, with a corn-silk texture and sleek flavors to match. The notes of sage and aloe conjure up a warm, sunny feeling without conferring excess weight.

Jean-Charles Boisset was born into the world of wine in the village of Vougeot, Burgundy, France, where his lifelong passion for wine began as a child. Today, he is the visionary behind JCB – A collection of wines that embody both old and new world styles, each labeled with a distinct number and a personal story. With over 40 wines in the collection, JCB offers highly rated Cabernet, Pinot Noir and Sparkling Wines, among many others, from vineyards in Burgundy, Napa Valley and Sonoma.

In addition to wine, Jean-Charles has expanded his luxury portfolio to include a lifestyle vision with a namesake JCB Jewelry collection, glassware from The Passion Collection created by Jean-Charles Boisset and Baccarat, as well as a selection of candles and lifestyle accessories that exemplify the JCB world of hospitality and entertaining. In 2018 Jean-Charles continued his legacy of pioneering innovations with the introduction of JCB Spirits, luxury vodkas and gin distilled from Burgundy wine made from Pinot Noir and Chardonnay that includes the first-ever caviar-infused and truffle-infused vodkas. Guests can also experience his world in person at his JCB tasting salons in St. Helena, Yountville, Healdsburg and San Francisco.

Whether it’s playful and fun or savory and serious, most rosé today is not your grandmother’s White Zinfandel, though that category remains strong. Pink wine has recently become quite trendy, and this time around it’s commonly quite dry. Since the pigment in red wines comes from keeping fermenting juice in contact with the grape skins for an extended period, it follows that a pink wine can be made using just a brief period of skin contact—usually just a couple of days. The resulting color depends on grape variety and winemaking style, ranging from pale salmon to deep magenta.

Cotes de Provence Wine

Provence, France

View all products

Cotes de Provence is an extensive but valuable appellation that includes vineyards bordering the main Provencal appellations. Its sites vary from subalpine hills, which receive the cooling effects of the mountains to the north, to the coastal St-Tropez, a region mainly influenced by the warm Mediterranean sunshine.

Here the focus is on quality rosé, as it defines four fifths of the region’s wines. Following in the rosé footsteps, a lot of new effort is going into the region’s red production as well. A new generation has turned its focus on high quality Grenache, Syrah, Cinsault and Carignan. Cotes de Provence white wines, which represent a miniscule part of the region as far as volume, are nonetheless worthy of consideration and can include any combination of Clairette, Semillon, Ugni Blanc and Vermentino.
