This beautiful, hand-crafted blend harmoniously blends Merlot with its longtime companion, Cabernet Sauvignon. It is brilliant, deep ruby red in color with intense aromatics that display fragrance of ripe red fruits, think black currants and cherries. The Cabernet gives this wine a sturdy framework in which the Merlot can show of its plump fruit character and abundance of spice...and just a kiss of sweet vanilla owing to the oak barrel ageing. On the palate, this medium-bodied wine offers rich, deep structure, elegant tannins and a soft, lingering finish. A perfectly balanced blend that is a pure pleasure to sip.
Blend: 60% Merlot, 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Cabernet Franc

Boysenberry in freshly tilled soil, dark chocolate, and soy sauce are carried on a wave of satin- lined tannins. A pinch of white pepper, cigar leaf, sandalwood, and a dollop of black cherry add to the wine's extroverted.
In most of France, wines are named by their place of origin and not by the type of grape (with the exception of Alsace). Just like a red Burgundy is by law, always made of Pinot noir, a red Bordeaux is a blended wine composed mainly of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot. Depending on the laws of the village from which the grapes come, the conditions of the vintage and decisions of the winemaker, the blend can be further supported by Cabernet Franc, Malbec, Petit Verdot and in rare cases, Carmenere. So popular and repeated has this mix of grape varieties become worldwide, that the term, Bordeaux Blend, refers to a wine blended in this style, regardless of origin.
