Fife Old Yokayo Rancho Syrah 1997

Profound color and structure with cassis, black pepper, and hard-cooked jam flavors were contributed by the 1997 vintage conditions. This wine had auspiciously good signs from the day we received the grapes. Eighteen months in a select multi-age mixture of oak from both the Old World and the New afforded this wine the needed time to lose its baby fat and develop into a dense wallop of flavor.
