James Suckling
Very striking nose of wild berries and herbs (tarragon!) plus some white peach. Very zesty and vibrant with stacks of mountain freshness on the sleek and focused body, this has stacks of lime zest and pith at the very energetic dry finish. From organically grown grapes with Fair'n Green certification.

Yellow apple and gooseberry flavors show just enough flesh to absorb this white's mineral intensity and acid verve. Offering a structured build, this is powered by mouthwatering acidity and a salty mineral vein that courses from start to finish, as hints of snap pea, chive and lilac add intrigue. Very solid. Drink now through 2032. 150 cases imported.
Riesling possesses a remarkable ability to reflect the character of wherever it is grown while still maintaining its identity. A regal variety of incredible purity and precision, this versatile grape can be just as enjoyable dry or sweet, young or old, still or sparkling and can age longer than nearly any other white variety. Somm Secret—Given how difficult it is to discern the level of sweetness in a Riesling from the label, here are some clues to find the dry ones. First, look for the world “trocken.” (“Halbtrocken” or “feinherb” mean off-dry.) Also a higher abv usually indicates a drier Riesling.
