The 2021 Riesling Grand Cru Rangen Clos Saint-Théobald is clear, precise and very flinty on the bright, fresh and pure nose. On the palate, this is a rich and savory, mineral as well as tannic Riesling with a firm structure and a pure expression of the terroir rather than the Riesling fruit. The wine is complex and still drying, because it's quite tannic, but it has the body and substance to integrate the tannins over the years in the bottle. This comes from transversely lined vines on larger terraces. 13.5% stated alcohol.
