Distiller Notes
Distilleria dell’Alpe Amaro del Cansiglio is flavored with over 18 herbs, plants and berries found in the ancient Cansiglio forest at the foot of the Eastern Italian Alps. Rhubarb, bitter orange, sweet orange and bay leaves to name a few. The final product is made using only natural ingredients with no artificial flavorings or colors, resulting in a distinctive and intensely fragrant bouquet, with a rounded, clean taste. Amaro del Cansiglio is a great introduction for the novice as well as the experienced amaro drinker.
Serve neat or on ice.
First prepared by 13th century Italian monks as herbal medicines and elixirs, Liqueurs are distilled spirits that have been combined with flavoring agents. A range of herbs, spices, nuts, fruits and flowers can be used, and a sweetener such as sugar or corn syrup is often added. While typically rather sweet, some examples are herbaceous or tart and pair exceptionally well with desserts or act as a delightful addition to cocktails.
