Distiller Notes
Medium amber. A green forest-like freshness is the main character on the nose, with well integrated notes of spice box. Light in the mouth, this añejo is savory and aromatic with flavors of spiced tobacco, charred moss and coffee. Subtle and focused.

Elegant and light, this sports a rose-gold hue and mild aroma that hints at tropical fruit and almond. The liquid feels notably silky, opening with mouthwatering salinity and jalapeño-cinnamon prickle, and finishing with a slick, buttery, faintly nutty note that just glides right off the palate. Aged 16 to 18 months.

Because of their great complexity, Anejo Tequilas are most often used as a substitute for Brandy or Whiskey in cocktails like the Manhattan or Old Fashioned. Anejo Tequilas must be aged in oak barrels for between one and three years, while Extra Anejo refers to any Tequila aged longer than three years. The prolonged contact with the oak barrel allows the wood to make a much stronger impression on the Tequila by adding toffee, caramel and vanilla to the sweet, spicy agave flavor profile.
