Distiller Notes

Blended from 21 years until 25 years old eau-de-vie, this new armagnac takes some of the Scotch whiskies codes. With a rich texture in mouth, a higher bottling ABV% and a lively and deep finish its aromatic complexity is initially expressed on the nose by intense notes of candied fruit and elegant woody notes.

On the palate, ripe fruits and spices melt on a superb texture towards the mid-palate with a very long and complex finish.

Maple and caramel aromas lead the nose. The first spicy sips smolder with cayenne and cinnamon, smoothed by vanilla and orange peel tones. The long finish offers mouthwatering hints of plum, ripe peach and a final echo of spice.

Cardinal Vital Du Four claimed that it “cures gout and cankers, heals wounds of the skin … renders men joyous, preserves youth and retards senility.”

Armagnac is produced in the Gascony region of Southwest France and is among the earliest of spirits produced, prescribed over the last 700 years for a myriad of therapeutic benefits. Owing to its ancient heritage, the production method is much simpler than that of its cousin, Cognac, with just a single distillation through a column still prior to barrel aging. This yields a spirit that is generally more flavorful and fragrant than other Brandies.
