Charlotte Street Cabernet/Chardonnay/Shiraz 2001

Palate of soft, chewy, juicy, fleshy flavours. Plum, cherry and raspberry, with a touch of spice, pepper and some sappy Pinot like characters. Velvety tannins and a decisive strength to the wine. Some very nice rich chocolate and mocha favours on finish. A wine that does not rely on being tricked up and filled out with sweet simple oak, rather it stands on the strength of its fruit flavours. Very good length and weight right through to the finish.
