Distiller Notes
This is a Tequila with no dilution or filtration with authentic proceedings honoring the founder, Salvador Rosales Briseno. First impression fragrant strong of cooked agave, pepper and fresh herbs. After opening, the aromas shift to cardamom, nuts, coffee, honey and butter. Without losing the dry mineral earth characteristics synonymous with Lowland Tequila. The first taste is a vibrantly refreshing with flavors of mint and fresh herbs with the contrast of bitter and sweet extending into the mouth. Honey and ripe fruits leave your palate with a sweet warmth.
Tequila Blanco, or ‘white Tequila’, is also known as Tequila Plata, or ‘silver Tequila’. Its clear color is the result of being bottled immediately after distillation instead of being aged in oak barrels like Tequila Reposado or Anejo. Because of their youth and lack of barrel influence, Blanco Tequilas are thought to offer the purest expression of blue agave available, with notes of citrus and pepper. However, they can also be quite forceful and energetic on the palate without the moderating influence of time and wood.
