Calumet Farm 16 Year Single Rack Black Kentucky Bourbon Whiskey Front Bottle Shot

Distiller Notes

Calumet Farm 16 Year Bourbon features a dark copper appearance and a nose that combines melted caramel, stewed apples, and sweet bread, with hints of aged oak, light peach, and a touch of cola. On the palate, it offers a straightforward yet enjoyable blend of hazelnut, molasses, and cocoa powder, with good intensity and flavor pop. The finish is marked by dry aged oak, light tannins, fresh tobacco leaf, and clove, with a surprising hint of soy sauce at the tail end. This bourbon's age is evident in its mature oak, mustiness, and light bitterness, making it a distinctive and memorable sip

Although Bourbon may be produced anywhere in the United States, it is most commonly associated with Bourbon County, Kentucky, where it has been produced since the late 18th century. Made from a mash bill containing at least 51% corn, the Bourbon Whiskey distillate must be aged in new, charred white oak barrels. Bourbon Whiskeys are bottled at eighty proof (40% abv) or higher and cannot contain any added color or flavor. A versatile spirit that can be sipped neat, with water or on the rocks, it also performs nicely added to cocktails like the Old Fashioned.
