Widely regarded as Scotland’s Whisky Island, Islay is home to fewer than 4,000 residents yet eight of the world’s finest single malt distilleries. Let us introduce you to the first, Bowmore® Distillery. Established in 1779, Bowmore is the most perfectly balanced of all the island’s malts and there is no truer reflection of the whisky island’s character as it showcases just the right amounts of smoke, salt, citrus and vanilla to conjure up the true taste of Islay.
Exclusively matured in first and second fill ex bourbon casks, then blissfully married together, Small Batch exhibits the best qualities of both. First-fill bourbon offers delicious vanilla sweetness, subtle spices and bourbon oak smoke to complement Bowmore's gentle peaty smokiness, while the second-fill cask enhances Bowmore's fresh fruity complexity and showcases its trademark honey and creamy malt character.
Bowmore 23 Year Old Port Cask Single Malt Scotch Whisky is aged completely in port casks. Rich and deep in color, the finish is smooth with hints of dried fruits and spice. Cosseted away in the finest, hand-selected oak casks and allowed to mature at its own sedate pace, this is one of the most remarkable, perfectly balanced malts of its kind. One of our rarest most exceptional bottlings, the stocks of Bowmore 18 Year Old may be limited but there's no end to its enjoyment.

Today Single Malt Scotch Whiskies are prized by enthusiasts and aficionados the world over for their rarity, age and complexity. By definition these must be produced in Scotland from a single distillery and made entirely from malted barley, using a pot still.
