Bodega Tamari Reserva Malbec 2010 Front Label

Winemaker Notes

Intense and deep red garnet color. Floral, fruity, intense, honest. Flowery notes of violets and jasmine, ripe red fruits, like plums, cherries and chocolate morello cherry. Aging in oak barrels adds complexity, and notes of hazelnuts, almonds and cinnamon.

Very good acidity, nice and delicate. It is a wine of medium body, long and tasty. The fruit in the mouth recalls notes of plums, caramel and toffee. Very interesting tannins, tasty, sucrose and long. A ripe fruit aftertaste and a very good persistence are emphasized.

Most distinguished and celebrated from Argentina’s Mendoza, Malbec has seen runaway success since the early 2000s. Mendoza’s agreeable, continental climate with hot, dry summers and cold snowy winters allows the perfect conditions for growing outstanding Malbec. This grape is easy to like for its lusty, deep flavors and aromas of blackberry, plum, red cherry, autumn spice and tilled earth. It’s easy to find delicious, fruit-driven, affordable everyday examples and in prices beyond, quite exceptional ones with dense, supple textures that make them capable of aging.
