Distiller Notes
A rich and flavorful classic gin infused with the world’s most precious and rare strawberries: Awayuki, White Pearl, and Kotoka Strawberries are hand-grown in Japan. The natural flavor of these luscious strawberries is harvested with careful attention to detail at the peak of ripeness; for a richer, more vibrant flavor that balances perfectly with the earthy tones of the juniper and other botanicals.

This premium AWAYUKI Gin is infused using the finest strawberries grown in Japan’s Nara Prefecture.
Pink and white strawberries are rare in the world and have an incredible scent and beautiful flavor. These rare, pampered fruit gems sell for $22 per strawberry in produce markets in Japan.
The plants are monitored daily, removing any berries that are not in pristine condition, leaving only the best fruit to grow into beautiful, delicious strawberries. Determining which fruit is left is a technique that can be done only by observing the strawberries daily.
The cultivation of "Awayuki" and "Pearl White" started about 5 years ago. Pink and white strawberries are rare in the world and have an incredible scent and beautiful flavor. The Kotoka (red) strawberry has a higher sugar content, averaging 12 degrees to 13 degrees compared to common strawberries, while still keeping a pleasant tartness that accentuates the sweetness.
During harvest, the berries are handled very carefully so that they do not touch each other. The berries are treated like jewelry. Packages are shipped in a jewel box-like design.
When these rare and beautiful strawberries are married with a gin that is well-balance with juniper and other botanicals it becomes an amazing libation known as AWAYUKI Gin.

Enjoying an enthusiastic resurgence in modern cocktail culture, Gin, a.k.a. ‘Dutch Courage,’ was originally touted as a 16th century cure for cowardice and stomach ailments. Arguably the broadest and most dynamic category of spirits in terms of flavor profiles and production styles, Gin is a distilled grain spirit that derives its primary flavor from juniper berries and secondary flavors from a dazzling array of spices, herbs, fruits and botanicals. It is both produced and enjoyed all around the world and is most commonly mixed into cocktails such as the Martini or simply added to tonic water.
