Become a Wine Expert with Kevin Zraly

When I started my study of wine in 1970, it was all about French wine, especially Burgundy. My first glass of great wine was given to me by a customer (now a close friend) at the restaurant where I worked. It was a 1945 Grand Cru! Burgundy's reputation for winemaking dates as far back as 51 B.C. Bourgogne is where you start to understand the Pinot Noir grape with its lightness, bright acidity, low tannins, and complex flavors. Then you move on to the specific villages.... In this class we will taste and discuss the red wines of the Côte d'Or, two from the Côte de Beaune and two from the Côte de Nuits, all from some of the great producers. Robin Kelley O'Connor, the world-renowned wine expert and our producer, Alison Van de Berghe, will join Kevin on all classes.
