Zonin OgniGiorno Amabile Lambrusco
Zonin is one of the most acknowledged and distinguished Italian wine brand both at national and international stage, thanks to the passion and commitment that seven generations of the Zonin Family have dedicated to vine-growing and wine-making.
The Zonin Family has maintained a strong link with its roots in the land and vineyards on the hills of Gambellara, a small village in the heart of Veneto Region, between Venice and Verona, where vines have grown for centuries and where Zonin produces a selected range of still and sparkling wines from the most prestigious appellations, DOC and DOCG, of this territory, including Prosecco.
Thanks to its distinctive style, today Zonin Prosecco is one of the leading brands in its category.
The flat plains of Emilia are home to Italy's famous, slightly sparking red, Lambrusco. While historically popular in large volumes, Lambrusco suffered a bit of scorn as an overly simple and sweet, frothy wine. Today there is an artisanl pull to produce small-batch, quality-focused dry and sweet versions within its four distinct Lambrusco subregions.
A good quality, traditional, dry Lambrusco offers aromas of ripe black plum, raspberry, sweet mint and river cobble; on the palate, black cherry mingles with a slight effervescence. Enjoy the sweet, strawberry-tinged, quaffable stuff if that’s what you like but in the Italian region of Emilia-Romagna there are no less than ten distinct forms of the grape and a handful of zones dedicated to each unique character. Somm Secret—Today an increasing number or artisan producers are emerging to bring the dry, aromatic style back into fashion.
