West Cork Irish Whiskey is a blended Irish whiskey containing 75% grain Irish whiskey & 25% malt Irish whiskey. Patiently matured in first fill bourbon casks to deliver a smooth, subtle and quintessential Irish whiskey.
This whiskey is a light oak color. Aromas of malt, slight citrus, and cracked pepper. Malt, lingering sweetness, citrus, apple and nutmeg on the palate.

Aromas of brown sugar and figs as well as hazelnut butter and nougat are lovely openers to this spirit, whose gossamer texture is preternatural: It glides and melts. A pinch of Himalayan salt pats the middle of the tongue while apricot and cedar intermingle
The result of an historically prohibitive tax placed on malted barley by the English crown, Irish Whiskey is most often produced from a combination of un-malted barley and other grains. Whereas most other Whiskeys are twice distilled, Irish Whiskeys are distilled three times in a column still and must mature in oak barrels for a minimum of three years. These intricate production steps combine to make them lighter, smoother and more approachable than other styles.
