Winemaker Notes

Inviting blueberry aromas couple with cedar and slate notes on the nose. The rich, developed palate presents mulberry and currant with well integrated tannins.

Critical Acclaim

W&S 92
Wine & Spirits

A cabernet with classical restraint, this elegant red displays an old-school sense of proportion. Its black plum flavors and clean velvety texture feel sleek, driven by polished tannins. The finish brings to mind purple flowers. A posh red for beef bourguignon.

WS 90
Wine Spectator

Velvety, generous and open-textured, offering pear-accented currant and mint flavors that linger effectively on the expressive finish. Drink now through 2016. 4,100 cases made.

Waterbrook
Waterbrook Winery was founded in 1984 by Eric and Janet Rindal and is located in Washington State's lovely Walla Walla Valley. The name was chosen to complement the translation from Nez Perce Indian dialect for the name Walla Walla, meaning "running water." Production has slowly increased to over 35,000 cases annually.

The Napa Valley and Cabernet Sauvignon are so intrinsically linked that it is difficult to discuss one without thinking of the other. Although Cabernet has many important outposts throughout the wine world, nowhere else has it achieved such success (and, at the highest end, commanded such lofty prices) than in Napa. Here, it is responsible for bold, opulent, and dark-fruited wines with grippy tannins and a healthy dose of alcohol. The best examples can age for decades. Each of Napa’s smaller sub-AVAs imparts a different character to Cabernet, such as Rutherford’s famous dust or Stags Leap District's tart cherry flavors.
