Winemaker Notes
Deep and brilliant ruby red color with blue and purplish hues around the rim. Complex aroma which evolves and slowly reveals as it develops in the glass. Aromas of plums and fresh red berries along with a delicate floral note. Soft and sweet attack in mouth, and then intense, concentrated and persistent in flavors. With vanilla notes and soft toast flavor which denote its brief contact with French oak. Remarkable varietal typicity together with the extraordinary freshness and particular fruity expression, typical of the grapes from this vineyard. An elegant and intense wine, complex and balanced, soft and easy to drink. Its 8-month bottle aging has contributed to reach proper maturity and enjoy its qualities. It has an aging potential which makes it worthy of aging for at least 5 years. It is recommended to decant the wine before drinking.

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
The 2007 Malbec De Angeles Single Vineyard saw 25% of the wine aged in new French oak for 6 months. The grapes were sourced from 85-year-old vineyards in Vistalba Valley. Opaque purple colored, it offers up an expressive nose of smoke, spice box, and black cherry. Full-bodied, dense, ripe, and sweetly-fruited, this well-balanced, lengthy Malbec offers super value for a wine with such an aromatic/flavor profile. Drink it over the next 6 years.
Most distinguished and celebrated from Argentina’s Mendoza, Malbec has seen runaway success since the early 2000s. Mendoza’s agreeable, continental climate with hot, dry summers and cold snowy winters allows the perfect conditions for growing outstanding Malbec. This grape is easy to like for its lusty, deep flavors and aromas of blackberry, plum, red cherry, autumn spice and tilled earth. It’s easy to find delicious, fruit-driven, affordable everyday examples and in prices beyond, quite exceptional ones with dense, supple textures that make them capable of aging.
