Distiller Notes
Rested and aged are tasted thoroughly until finding the best barrels that will make this a unique lens. This selection of aged and rested will have to leave the barrel in which they reached character and strength to be distilled for the third time and thus polish the notes and tastes in the most capricious way, taking care of their identity in every detail.
Clean, crystal clear with clear flares of straw on the edge and backlit. Remarkable body that is demonstrated in its adherence to the cup. It forms legs of long permanence. Strong character with sweet and fruity notes of green apple, discreet presence of cooked agave and a flash of chocolate. Well balanced with citrus notes, species such as cloves, fruit trees with a vanilla and butter finish. Silky, soft and long stay in the mouth curiously with fresh notes in the reteoguto combined in the tertiary notes to wood.
Tequila Reposado refers to Tequilas that have been ‘rested’, or aged, in oak barrels for a minimum of two months but not more than one year. Depending on the specific flavors a tequilero wishes to impart on the spirit, a variety of different barrels may be used, from Brandy and Bourbon, to Wine and Sherry. The time spent on the wood allows Reposado Tequilas to mellow as they age, softening and rounding powerful flavor components brought by the agave and marrying them to subtle notes of caramel and vanilla brought by the barrel itself.
