The Dalmore King Alexander III showcases cask curation at its finest; as it is the world’s first single malt whisky with a six cask finish. Ex-bourbon casks, Matusalem oloroso sherry casks, Madeira barrels, Marsala casks, Port pipes and Cabernet Sauvignon wine barriques each separately gift the whisky with a spectrum of flavors before they are combined to create a uniquely complex and sumptuous single malt. Aromas of red berry fruits and hints of passion fruit. Citrus zest, vanilla pod, crème caramel and crushed almonds on the palate. Finishing notes of cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger.

Caramel and toffee lead the nose, alongside a puff of smoke. The palate is robust and velvety, with dusty notes of cocoa, unsweetened chocolate and caramel. The finish is dry and complex, with hints of tea, leather, cocoa, cigar wrapper and vanilla. The producer says it's the only single malt in the world to incorporate six different cask finishes: former Bourbon, oloroso Sherry, Madeira, Marsala, Port and Cabernet Sauvignon barrels.
