A very vibrant clear green color. Wonderful nose with a nice complex and tempting aroma.The wine alcohol base is notable and also a good portion of wormwood, green anise and fennel. Slight hints of coriander and a faint minty touch is also present. The addition of water enhances the overall aroma, releases more of the herbal complexity and produces a luxurious light green cloudiness. The mouth-feel is full, slightly dry but fresh, creamy and long. A true connoisseurs' Absinthe, among the finest made in modern times.

This pretty jade absinthe louches to shimmering opalescent, with a hint of sea-foam green. Relatively bold, the pungent anise scent is echoed on the palate, perked up by lively hints of fresh basil and lime peel. Finishes long and rounded, with an earthy Dutch licorice twang.
Enjoyed for hundreds of years in Europe as a restorative and cure for many types of maladies, Absinthe reached its peak popularity in late 19th and early 20th century Parisian bars and cafés where it was a favorite of Hemingway, Joyce, Van Gogh and Picasso. Similar to Gin, Absinthe is a neutral, high proof spirit (110 to 144) infused with a variety of herbs and botanicals. These typically include green anise, sweet fennel and grand wormwood. Absinthe is most often light green in color but can also be clear.
