This wine demonstrates the great aptness of Vista Flores for this variety, presenting its particular brilliance of young fruit in which it expresses its notes of fresh, crisp red fruit and defined balsamic touches along with vegetable aromas, together with a slight spicy presence. Touching the palate it impresses with its extreme fluidity, smooth tannins and rich texture, to finally remain in the mouth with an oily and wet aftertaste.

Sour plums, black pepper, agave, blackberries and wild grilled herbs to the nose. Broad and juicy on the palate with a medium to full body and lots of fine, chalky tannins. Excellent length and texture. From biodynamically grown grapes. Drink or hold.

The 2020 Cabernet Franc Siesta en el Tahuantinsuyu (from Vista Flores in the Uco Valley) was 75% aged for 14 months in 15% new French oak barrels, with the remainder kept in concrete vats. Purple in hue. The jammy nose offers redcurrant, mint, dried flowers, herbs, and ash over an oak layer. Indulgent and creamy on the palate, the fine, reactive tannins and rich flow produce a lingering, taut expression. The 2020 is a long-lasting, fruity red.

By far the largest and best-known winemaking province in Argentina, Mendoza is responsible for over 70% of the country’s enological output. Set in the eastern foothills of the Andes Mountains, the climate is dry and continental, presenting relatively few challenges for viticulturists during the growing season. Mendoza, divided into several distinctive sub-regions, including Luján de Cuyo and the Uco Valley, is the source of some of the country’s finest wines.
For many wine lovers, Mendoza is practically synonymous with Malbec. Originally a Bordelaise variety brought to Argentina by the French in the mid-1800s, here it found success and renown that it never knew in its homeland where a finicky climate gives mixed results. Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah, Merlot and Pinot Noir are all widely planted here as well (and sometimes even blended with each other or Malbec). Mendoza's main white varieties include Chardonnay, Torrontés, Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon.
