Distiller Notes
Sweeter notes are found in this aged mezcal. Coconut, sweet almond and hazelnut can be uncovered in this complex spirit that expertly intertwines with notes of oak, cereal and mesquite delivering a rebellious bouquet.
Reposado translates literally to ‘rested’ and refers to a Mezcal that has aged in oak barrels between sixty days to one year. This resting time allows the smoky, vegetal flavors and aromas of the young new-make spirit to soften and mellow, letting the complex qualities of the agave and barrel emerge. Depending on the type of barrel used, the wood will impart both color and flavor components of its own, such as molasses, toffee and vanilla.
