Winemaker Notes
Aromas reminiscent of apricots and peach, charming fruit concentration with a certain flintiness. Brilliant juiciness, elegant body and a long stunning finish.
A perfect aperitif, but also delicious with a range of appetizers and fish dishes.

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Disgorged in May after 68 months on the lees, the 2012 Riesling Réserve Extra Brut is a beautifully intense and fruity sparkling wine with very fine brioche and nougat aromas and intense but elegant and refined fruit. The finish is fresh and vital, with fine mineral grip and carried from a delicate mousse. This is an excellent new entry into the Diel portfolio.

This offers a subtle paraffin note on the nose, but the palate is all about brioche, marzipan and creamed pear flavors. Vanilla and clove elements emerge midpalate, adding to the complexity. Texturally refined and seductive, showing great tension between the acidity and flavors. Drink now through 2032.
Representing the topmost expression of a Champagne house, a vintage Champagne is one made from the produce of a single, superior harvest year. Vintage Champagnes account for a mere 5% of total Champagne production and are produced about three times in a decade. Champagne is typically made as a blend of multiple years in order to preserve the house style; these will have non-vintage, or simply, NV on the label. The term, "vintage," as it applies to all wine, simply means a single harvest year.
