In the heart of Serralunga d'Alba, this wine embodies the essence of Barolo from Serralunga. The wine exudes aromas of rose, tar and dried red fruit. On the palate, flavors of cherry, licorice, and earth are enrobed in sturdy tannins and bright acidity, leading to a long, elegant finish. Drink 2025–2040.

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
A certified organic and biodynamic wine, the Rivetto dal 1902 2019 Barolo del Comune di Serralunga d'Alba shows medium-rich concentration and an aromatic profile that embraces savory spice and tobacco. It ages in both Hungarian and Slavonian oak casks for two years. You get some of the more powerful or weighty elements of the Nebbiolo playbook with black cherry, iron ore and dried rose.
Responsible for some of the most elegant and age-worthy wines in the world, Nebbiolo, named for the ubiquitous autumnal fog (called nebbia in Italian), is the star variety of northern Italy’s Piedmont region. Grown throughout the area, as well as in the neighboring Valle d’Aosta and Valtellina, it reaches its highest potential in the Piedmontese villages of Barolo, Barbaresco and Roero. Outside of Italy, growers are still very much in the experimentation stage but some success has been achieved in parts of California. Somm Secret—If you’re new to Nebbiolo, start with a charming, wallet-friendly, early-drinking Langhe Nebbiolo or Nebbiolo d'Alba.
