J.M. Gold displays a rich sugarcane flavor that has beautiful viscosity on the palate. The rich golden color is a simple result from the time it has been naturally aged in re-charred Bourbon barrels for a period of 12 months. Raw sugarcane and warm gingerbread flavors are softened by hints of vanilla and hazelnuts from this short time in oak. J.M Gold is a rum that demonstrates a brilliant balance of reservation of terroir with introduction of wood alchemy that works exceptionally well in cocktails.

Made through fermentation and distillation of molasses or the fresh-pressed juice of sugar cane, Rums range from 20% to over 70% alcohol and come in a variety of tones from clear to dark. Highest quality Rums are generally produced in pot stills and aged in wood, while less expensive Clear or “White” Rums are produced in column stills and bottled without barrel aging.
