Distiller Notes
Privateer New England White Rum is an aromatic, richly textured and deeply flavored white rum expression. It begins with 100% single-origin, Grade A molasses made from fine sugar cane grown in the volcanic soils of a single valley in Guatemala. This rum expression captures this cane, offering classic ‘rummy’ flavors of pineapple, passionfruit, vanilla bean pod, and a hint of earthy tobacco blossom.
Privateer New England White Rum is made to offer rich texture and a harmonious flavor that will accentuate a mixed drink without becoming muted; rather, it will stand up well with rich and deep flavors without being aggressive or discordant.
Privateer's sugar producer was founded by a brother and sister team and is a member of Sugar for Good, which ensures a commitment to the environment and pro-cane worker standards.

From pirate life on the open sea to Caribbean island paradises, perhaps no other spirit evokes such a romantic history as Rum. Made through fermentation and distillation of molasses or the fresh-pressed juice of sugar cane, Rums range from 20% to over 70% alcohol and come in a variety of tones from clear to dark. Highest quality Rums are generally produced in pot stills and aged in wood, while less expensive Clear or “White” Rums are produced in column stills and bottled without barrel aging. Naturally, Rums form the base of tropical cocktails like Daquiris and Mojitos.
