An appealing rosé with a brilliant pink color. A rich nose showing red berry tones such as strawberry and gooseberry. Fresh on the palate, with persisting citrus notes. Well rounded body and a long,structured finish.

A more lively and fresh style of Tavel, Prieure de Montezargues' 2014 Tavel is an interesting blend of 55% red and white Grenache, 30% Cinsalt, 13% Clairette and the rest a mix of permitted varieties, that spent 5 months on lees in concrete tanks. It offers fabulous raspberry and wild strawberry fruits, spice and hints of underbrush to go with a medium-bodied, balanced, lively feel on the palate. This is pure class all the way, and it has a great mix of both freshness and richness, both of which will allow it to shine on the dinner table. It should be at peak by the time you read this, yet continue to shine through the end of 2016.
