Delicately floral and precise, the 2020 Sauvignon Voglar entices with lemon oil, sage and stone dust complementing crisp green apple. It's softly textured yet finessed, an understated beauty. Brisk acidity motivates tart orchard fruits and citrus notes. This finishes remarkably fresh and with admirable length, leaving lingering apricot and lemon zest nuances. This was a warm and generous vintage, yet the Dipolo style remains wonderfully refined.
Capable of a vast array of styles, Sauvignon Blanc is a crisp, refreshing variety that equally reflects both terroir and varietal character. Somm Secret—Along with Cabernet Franc, Sauvignon Blanc is a proud parent of Cabernet Sauvignon. That green bell pepper aroma that all three varieties share is no coincidence—it comes from a high concentration of pyrazines (herbaceous aromatic compounds) inherent to each member of the family.
