Tequila Ocho’s Reposado is made with 100% blue agave, harvested only when overripe, and distilled at Distillery Los Alambiques in the Highlands of Jalisco. This expression is rested for 8 weeks and 8 days in ex-American whiskey barrels that have been used before to age tequilas, just over the minimum amount of time as required by law, and giving the Reposado a round, cooked-agave note.
Bright, sweet cooked agave notes shine through, while balancing with the sweet spice, cinnamon, and delicate notes of vanilla from the oak aging. Long and creamy finish.

This lively, bright tequila will please purists. A light hand with the oak means a straw hue and brisk aromas of jalapeño and citrus. The palate melds flavors of bell pepper, fresh rosemary and roasted jalapeño that lead into mild coconut and graphite notes on the midpalate, finishing with a fresh herb exhale.
Tequila Reposado refers to Tequilas that have been ‘rested’, or aged, in oak barrels for a minimum of two months but not more than one year. Depending on the specific flavors a tequilero wishes to impart on the spirit, a variety of different barrels may be used, from Brandy and Bourbon, to Wine and Sherry. The time spent on the wood allows Reposado Tequilas to mellow as they age, softening and rounding powerful flavor components brought by the agave and marrying them to subtle notes of caramel and vanilla brought by the barrel itself.
