Winemaker Notes
One the nose green papaya with some fresh ripe green, vibrant florals and a touch of fennel. The feel across the palate is weighty, juicy and opulent. The acid is elegant and gives the wine a cleansing spine.
This wine is exhilarating with seafood. Our kai moana sings alongside a cool glass of this richer style of Sauvignon.

A rich and flavorsome sauvignon with subtly creamy complexity adding interest to the ripe mangoes and guava. The palate has a smooth, ripe array of melon and peach flavors.

Decanter
From the alluvial plains in Nelson, one-fifth of this Sauvignon Blanc was fermented in barrel and two-thirds underwent wild fermentation. The result is Sauvignon Blanc with the volume turned down: ripe pear and apple fruit aromas combine with a subtle, grassy high note. It's round and gentle with good concentration and a focussed core, followed by some juicy acidity on the conclusion. Drinking Window 2018 - 2020

Wine
Clear skies allow for rapid cooling at night, nurturing the slow development of flavors in the grapes. This combination of climate and soil type produces long living wines of great intensity, showing concentrated but not overtly fruity characters. Despite an enviable track record and continuing success, the Finns have kept their winery small (around 6,000 cases annually) and devoted to the production of top flight wines.
Recognized for its distinctively herbaceous and aromatic, Sauvignon Blanc, New Zealand is perfectly suited to the grape with its maritime climate, plenty of rainfall and abundant sunshine. Producers have almost unilaterally embraced cutting-edge winery technology, resulting in clean, high-quality wines at every price point from wallet-friendly to premium. Sauvignon blanc is at its best in Marlborough but thrives throughout as the country. It is New Zealand’s most planted and successful variety, also accounting for an overwhelming majority of its exports.
