2021 San Francisco World Spirits Competition Double Gold Medal Winner
A pungent nose with fresh banana and sweet spice. A light palate, complex spice with hints of tobacco.This small batch of 5000 bottles was carefully blended from rums produced by several different Jamaican distilleries. Each single batch of Mezan XO is re-aged following blending, to encourage the marriage of flavors and enhance the structure and subtlety of the rum.

This unique and linear molasses-based rum is aged in exbourbon casks. Its aromas of porcini mushroom, orange peel, and grilled pineapple are heady and earthy. The free-form palate defines lightness: Pineapple and pine nut are juxtaposed with white-peppered snap pea, lemon custard, and oatmeal. 80 proof.
Often referred to as a Gold Rum, an Aged Rum is one that has been aged in barrels, often Ex-Bourbon or White Oak before bottling. As the Rum continues to age, it draws more and more color and flavor from the wood, adding both body and complexity to the finished product. Aged Rums can be sipped neat or added to cocktails. They fall somewhere in between White and Dark Rums in terms of their respective strength of flavor.
