Distiller Notes
Fresh harvested agave on the nose, pineapple and a hint of green bell pepper. Medium bodied up front, roasted agave leads the way, followed by warm agave nectar, bright citrus and white flowers. Bright citrus continues to linger and makes way for a palate drying earthiness and soft white pepper.
Los Sundays un-aged clear tequila is double distilled from a blend of highland agave offering smooth floral notes and lowland agave which lend earthier undertones. This blending technique provides a full bodied blanco with multiple layers of agave.
Tequila Blanco, or ‘white Tequila’, is also known as Tequila Plata, or ‘silver Tequila’. Its clear color is the result of being bottled immediately after distillation instead of being aged in oak barrels like Tequila Reposado or Anejo. Because of their youth and lack of barrel influence, Blanco Tequilas are thought to offer the purest expression of blue agave available, with notes of citrus and pepper. However, they can also be quite forceful and energetic on the palate without the moderating influence of time and wood.
