Distiller Notes
LiV is distilled from 100% locally grown Long Island potatoes so it's naturally gluten free; they are smaller in diameter so their is more skin to fruit contributing to the sweet vanilla flavors and creamy mouth feel. Long Island's microclimate and loamy soils are ideally suited for growing potatoes; prior to WWII, Long Island had over 200,000 acres of potatoes being farmed. LiV is triple distilled, using small batch Pot and Column distillation.
Though Vodka aspires to be an odorless and tasteless spirit on its own, this aspect (somewhat ironically) makes it the perfect base for flavored spirits, as there aren’t any other flavors or aromas to compete with those being added. While some premium producers steep their Vodkas with actual fruit, extracts and concentrates are most commonly used to achieve a desired flavor.
