Distiller Notes
The wonderful Plum Fruit Brandy exalts the flavours of the iconic black plum from Agen, this “black gold of Aquitaine” celebrated worldwide since the 16th century. Elaborated according to the ancestral tradition of the region, it has been slowly distilled in a simple still with continuous heating then aged for 2 years in old black oak barrels in Armagnac.
Eau de Vie, or ‘water of life,’ is a term in France that refers to any unaged or newly-made spirit in general. However English-speaking countries follow a narrower definition, applying the name only to clear, unaged Brandies that are twice distilled and made from fruit other than grapes. Many fine examples of Eau de Vies are produced all over the world.
