A brilliant robe with ruby ??highlights. The nose reveals small red fruits with notes of licorice. On the palate, a lovely balance and beautiful freshness, with silky tannins leading to a saline and spicy finish. A wine for pure enjoyment.
Le Petit Saint Vincent comes from Dominique Joseph's youngest Cabernet Franc vines just outside the village of Varrains. The soils are sandy. It is vinified and aged entirely in cement. The combination of the aging and it being Cabernet Franc from sandy soils makes it the most immediately approachable bottling from Dominique.
Cabernet Franc, a proud parent of Cabernet Sauvignon, is the subtler and more delicate of the Cabernets.
