Winemaker Notes

This wine is a riper style of Albarino. On the palate, it's gentle and peachy with some lingering mineral and rock notes that add complexity and exemplify classic Rías Baixas character. The finish shows peach, yellow apple, and even some tropical fruits.

Critical Acclaim

WS 90
Wine Spectator

Bright acidity focuses the generous texture in this bold white. Offers peach, apple and blanched almond flavors, accented by hints of mineral, toast and fresh herbs. Clean and focused, with the stuffing to age. Drink now through 2020.

WE 90
Wine Enthusiast

This pure, chiseled Albariño is light but right on the nose, with lime and stone aromas. Crisp yet comfortable, the palate delivers nectarine, apple and other familiar white-fruit flavors. A stony finish with crisp acidity and a leesy accent is lasting and attractive.

A cool new wine from the Jorge Ordonez Portfolio. A wine of this quality and magnitude can only come from carefully tended old gnarled vines grown under adverse conditions.

Napa Valley

Cabernet Sauvignon

View all wine

The Napa Valley and Cabernet Sauvignon are so intrinsically linked that it is difficult to discuss one without thinking of the other. Although Cabernet has many important outposts throughout the wine world, nowhere else has it achieved such success (and, at the highest end, commanded such lofty prices) than in Napa. Here, it is responsible for bold, opulent, and dark-fruited wines with grippy tannins and a healthy dose of alcohol. The best examples can age for decades. Each of Napa’s smaller sub-AVAs imparts a different character to Cabernet, such as Rutherford’s famous dust or Stags Leap District's tart cherry flavors.
