Winemaker Notes

This concentrated Sauvignon Blanc has expressive notes of kiwi, guava, pink grapefruit, lemon zest, and white peach. Layers of honeysuckle, wet stone, and Bosc pear skin add further dimension to the aromatic profile. The mouth is an intense expression of mountain Sauvignon Blanc with vibrant acidity and textured minerality. Giving lift and length, the acidity carries the wine to a long, lasting, and flavorful finish.

Somm Secret—Along with Cabernet Franc, Sauvignon Blanc is a proud parent of Cabernet Sauvignon. Covering the western slopes of the Mayacamas Mountains, facing the city of Sonoma, Moon Mountain District is one of Sonoma’s newest sub-appellations. Here the well-drained, red volcanic and ash soils produce hauntingly intense red wines, mainly from Zinfandel and Cabernet Sauvignon and other Bordeaux varieties.
