The 2015 Branco is an equal blend of Encruzado and Malvasia, aged for just three months in new French oak. It comes in at 13.2% alcohol. This is fresh and rather steely, with the oak obvious only in the background. The first taste reveals a hint; then, the steel takes over as the acidity slices through. It finishes with some tension and focus. Nicely done, this should hold on reasonably well, but let's take that in stages. It's another nice bargain from Kemper this issue. Sourced from vines planted in 2003, there were just 7,277 bottles produced.
