Description
The bouquet is a combination of a seductive vanilla aroma with touches of lemon, mint accents, mirabelle, mango, banana and black pepper. A subtly mingled fruity acidity makes for powerful accents on the palate. The Schlossberg is direct, tingling, invigorating and enduring. This Riesling is an excellent accompaniment to salmon and turbot with sautéed chicory, fried quail with young Savoy cabbage and curry, poussin with red pepper, roast pork with cumin, fennel and coriander.

Robert Parker's Wine Advocate
Sumptuous aromatics of sweet leeks, red currants, cherries, minerals, and slate are found in the nose of the 2002 Riesling Spatlese Rudesheimer Berg Schlossberg. This fabulous Spatlese is medium-bodied, magnificently elegant, lush, sexy, exquisitely balanced, and tremendously long in the finish. Candied onions, minerals, black cherries, and gun flint can be discerned in its complex flavors. Drink this beauty between 2007 and 2025.
