This exceptionally complex Triple Finished Single Malt begins with aromas of smoked caramel, dried orange peel, and roasted nuts, followed by ripe cherry and plum which accent the marshmallow and honey base, which fades to reveal lemon zest and earthy, smoke tones. On the palette, a creamy coating leads to flavors of caramelized sugar, blackberries, blueberries, plums, and cherries. Beautiful spice notes balance the full body of this medium peat smoked Single Malt. Imagine a warm caramel cake, with a lemon zest buttercream frosting by a campfire. The finish continues, bouncing between sweet desserts and delicate earthy, primal smoke. The combination of new oak, ex-Bourbon, Oloroso, PX and a 67-day finish in Port casks used to mature this whiskey have each left their mark, creating exceptional depth and harmony.
