Distiller Notes
A blend of straight rye whiskeys finished in Marqués de Casa Noble Añejo tequila barrels. A portion of the blend is also finished in Amburana barrels to enhance complexity.
Aromas of ripe mango, ruby grapefruit, spiced apple cider, piloncillo sugar, anise, allspice berries, mesquite wood, sunset walk through an agave field. On the palate notes of baked pear, charred peaches, cooked agave, ginger molasses cookie, freshly fried churro, orange blossom, cinnamon bark, black licorice, oak, leather. The finish has notes of pink peppercorns, dark agave honey on a sopapilla.

This boundary-pushing blend of ryes finished in barrels that previously held Marques de Casa Noble Anejo (there's a small addition of amburana-finished whiskeys in there too) is unforgettable, with brilliantly defined notes of cinnamon and clove adding depth to flavors of papaya, caramelized pineapple cake, and pecan praline. The interplay of tropical and sweet stone fruit with spice is dramatic and delicious.
Known for its peppery, spicy bite, Rye serves as the ideal base for cocktails like the Sazerac, Manhattan or Old Fashioned. In order for a spirit to be labeled an American Rye Whiskey, the mash bill must be comprised of at least 51% rye grain. The remainder of the mash is most often a combination of malted barley, wheat or corn. After distillation is complete, the spirit is transferred to unused, charred white oak barrels for a minimum of two years, though many producers choose to age longer.
