The 2017 Schlossböckelheim Kupfergrube GG—marketed as Reserve and never released before, like the 2017 Hermannsberg GG—offers a very clear, bright yet intense and flinty bouquet of ripe, well-concentrated but elegant and spicy fruits with notes of crushed stones. Full-bodied, tight and juicy on the palate, this is a powerful but elegant, crystalline, persistently saline and tensioned Riesling with fine bitters and still enormous aging potential. This is truly a rich and powerful wine that is still young and will become even finer in the next few years.
