Glenfiddich 21 Year Winter Storm Single Malt Scotch Whisky Front Bottle Shot
Glenfiddich 21 Year Winter Storm Single Malt Scotch Whisky Front Bottle Shot

Distiller Notes

Golden. A bouquet of tropical fruit and candied sweets are perfectly balanced with underlying wine notes. Soft sweet notes reminiscent of candied fruit and Turkish delight develop into flavors of mouth watering lychee. The fusion of sweet flavors is soon met with a rich drying sensation from the Icewine. Short and crisp finish.

Professional Ratings

  • 96 Tasting Panel
The icewine cask finish lends aromas of ripe pineapple and brown sugared peaches to the whisky’s distinguished perfume. The 21-year old Scotch is accented by lychee, tangerine peel, and mango. A saltiness occurs from mid-palate to finish, seasoning the fruity standards of this marvelously innovative expression.
  • 91 Whisky Advocate
Glenfiddich’s Experimental Series continues with this expression, finished for up to 6 months in ice wine casks sourced from Peller Estates winery in Ontario, Canada. Concentrated aromas of canned peaches in syrup, vanilla, and clotted cream. Silky on the palate, with a carryover of peaches from the nose and succulent blood oranges. The finish is medium in length, slowly drying, but fruity to the end.

“A good gulp of hot Scotch Whisky at bedtime–it’s not very scientific, but it helps!”

Alexander Fleming, Scottish inventor of penicillin, prescribed it as a cure for the common cold. Today Single Malt Scotch Whiskies are prized by enthusiasts and aficionados the world over for their rarity, age and complexity. By definition these must be produced in Scotland from a single distillery and made entirely from malted barley, using a pot still. The appearance, aroma and flavor of a Single Malt Scotch Whisky can vary widely depending on whether it was produced in the Highlands, Lowlands Islands, Speyside, Islay or Campbelltown regions.
