“Paraíso” means “paradise” in Latin, an apt name perhaps, Facundo Paraiso XA Premium Rum represents the culmination of the Facundo Rum Collection. In the making of Facundo Paraiso, Bacardi’s Maestros de Ron accessed the Bacardi family’s most prized rums and artfully hand-selected each for its character. Facundo Paraiso is comprised of some of our oldest, most coveted rums, that are aged up to 23 years in white oak barrels. After ageing, the rums are blended together and rested in French XO casks — some more than 60 years of age. This artistry results in an impeccably smooth, medium-bodied rum with a distinctive deep amber color — possibly the finest rum ever sipped.
Facundo Paraiso XA Premium Rum carries a distinctive aroma of caramelized vanilla, toasted oak and hints of nutmeg. To the taste, expect sweet fruit, honey and marzipan notes, with a luxuriously silky finish
Often referred to as a Gold Rum, an Aged Rum is one that has been aged in barrels, often Ex-Bourbon or White Oak before bottling. As the Rum continues to age, it draws more and more color and flavor from the wood, adding both body and complexity to the finished product. Aged Rums can be sipped neat or added to cocktails. They fall somewhere in between White and Dark Rums in terms of their respective strength of flavor.
