Unblemished purity. Golden color. Succulent and creamy with wafting scents of spiced butter, vanilla butterscotch, jasmine tea, crystallized ginger and underlying saline, zesty and slightly peppery herbal presence of freshly roasted agave. Entry is notably creamy and focused on roasted agave with a wealth of flavors including walnut, kola nut and subtle notes of sassafras and sweet tarragon. Velvety, vibrant, fruity body. Long finish with notes of candied banana, coconut cream and Muscat Blanc à Petits Grains.

Aromas of cream soda, pecan, and lime zest are extroverted, but they don’t mask the wonderful scents of agave. Cocoa spiked with red pepper and ginger converges with a touch of cedar as it grabs hold of lemon and ripe pineapple.

The herbaceous, bright aroma suggests basil and mint warmed by the sun. The palate is herbaceous too, hinting at bell pepper and jalapeño before winding into a coconut finish, edged with citrus peel and cinnamon sparks. Aged six months.

Tequila Reposado refers to Tequilas that have been ‘rested’, or aged, in oak barrels for a minimum of two months but not more than one year. Depending on the specific flavors a tequilero wishes to impart on the spirit, a variety of different barrels may be used, from Brandy and Bourbon, to Wine and Sherry. The time spent on the wood allows Reposado Tequilas to mellow as they age, softening and rounding powerful flavor components brought by the agave and marrying them to subtle notes of caramel and vanilla brought by the barrel itself.
