Distiller Notes
Dos Maderas Seleccion is a blend of carefully selected Dos Maderas 5+5 and a 10-year-old blend of Barbadian and Guyanese rums that have been matured in old bourbon casks. Deep amber in color with complex notes of raisin, fig, vanilla and dry fruit. On the palate, this rum is smooth, bursting with notes of raisin, fig and vanilla, leading into a long finish.
Best served neat or on the rocks. Also perfect as a mixer for traditional rum cocktails.
Often referred to as a Gold Rum, an Aged Rum is one that has been aged in barrels, often Ex-Bourbon or White Oak before bottling. As the Rum continues to age, it draws more and more color and flavor from the wood, adding both body and complexity to the finished product. Aged Rums can be sipped neat or added to cocktails. They fall somewhere in between White and Dark Rums in terms of their respective strength of flavor.
