Sogno is made in the traditional Cabernet Franc Style. This year's limited release is expected to maintain Sogno as an exciting and popular wine. Last year's release sold out quickly.
In Italian, the word "Sogno" means dream, and was very much fitting for this wine. Our first impression of this wine and its apt description was based on very elegant characteristics, with strong cherry and raspberry qualities in every sip. The nose possessed the very floral nature of the Cabernet Franc varietal, with a very nice layering of oak added. The wine is not "big, bold and gutsy". Rather, it is elegant, supple and serious. Our fans find it hard to set down a Sogno glass.
Our Cabernet Franc grapes come predominately from the Spring Valley vineyards in the Walla Walla Valley, with hints of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot from the Roza Hills and Terra Blanca Vineyards.
