Compass Box has been blending Calvados with Scotch whisky at home and in their blending room for years, enchanted by their complementary qualities. One of the world’s greatest spirits, Calvados, is also one of the most under-appreciated. Affinity showcases the mouthcoating texture and ripe fragrance of Calvados, partnering it with the rich spiciness and malty aromas of Scotch whisky.
Layers of apple character marry beautifully with malty, vanilla and spicelike notes. The French and the Scottish distillates build upon one another, creating a blend that displays weight and singular intensity, with a powerfully long-lived finish.

Originally created as a lighter alternative to Single Malts to appeal to the Americans during Prohibition, Blended Scotch Whiskies are a mix of both grain and malt whiskies that have been sourced from multiple distilleries and aged a minimum of three years in oak barrels. Nine out of every ten bottles of Scotch sold is a Blended Scotch Whisky and they are generally far more affordable than Single Malt Scotch Whiskies.
